The numbers are always hovering when we surf the internet, but most of the time we don’t pay much attention to them or look for their meanings. There are numeric symbols on website links, Google searches and many other places on the web.
The numbers only start to be an important necessity when we need to solve some problems in the computer, as it is the case of configuring the network of a normal or wireless model. This is where the IP theme of this article appears.
What is 192.168 l 0?
192.168 1 0 is the IP number of a given router, which is the access address for the settings that can be made on the network.
It allows the user to have a path to the settings area, where it is possible to modify the WiFi access password or the bandwidth options for each computer on the network.
It should be noted that for access to be done correctly, the IP must be entered without any error. The typing of the number 192.168 the 1 mentioned above is wrong, and the IP should look more like this: 192.168.l.0
What can I do with this IP?
The IP is an address and serves as the path to a router’s configuration area, which must be accessed through a large browser (Chrome, Explorer or Mozilla).
Other browsers can even be used, but not all have the necessary support for certain pages.
How to access the IP?
After entering the IP in the chosen browser correctly, a window will load. It is on this new page that the need for a login will appear to enter the settings area.
By default defined by companies, it is common to see the login being done as follows:
- Login: admin
- Password: admin
This form of access can be modified later, which is an appropriate recommendation to prevent attackers from making any changes to your network.
It is also indicated that the access is done through a computer that is connected to the router through a network cable.
- 192.168.l.0 – Default Gateway and Wi-Fi Router Login
This method is the most correct for the IP to really work, otherwise the page will not open, offering only an error message.
How to find out my router’s IP?
If your IP is not 192.168 or 1, there are two ways to find out the correct numbering for your router.
- Search through the device
The router usually comes with a sticker on its body informing which is the access IP for the settings, also bringing the data related to the login page.
- 192.168.l.0 – Wi-Fi Router Configuration IP, 192.168.l.0
The box of the device can also have information, as well as the instruction manual.
- Computer search
A computer connected to the network can also know how to find out the IP, for that just click on the network symbol (WiFi) with the direct button and choose the option “Network and Sharing Center”.
Then just click on the connected network and in details, the IP will be next to the “Default IPv4 Gateway” menu.
